On‑Camera Foundations II

Craft and Technique

Six weeks of scene work and screen technique for actors who've completed On-Camera Foundations and are ready to push further, deeper scenes, more challenging direction, genre range, and self-tape craft. Tuesday Evenings – Starts September 29th

On-camera acting class at The Actors Workout Sydney, On-Camera Foundations II: Craft and Technique

On-Camera Foundations II: Craft and Technique (Stage 2) is the next part of the same series, not a separate tier. Over six weeks, actors who've completed On-Camera Foundations keep building the same process, on more complex scenes, more challenging direction, genre range, and self-tape and audition craft.

It's not a jump to a different category of training. It's the same process you already started, pushed into harder material.

Places are strictly limited, so apply early to secure your spot.

What to Expect

BEYOND THE BASICS
Revisit foundational technique at a higher standard, sustained character choices, subtext, and economy on camera.
GENRE & TONE
Adjust your technique across drama, comedy, and procedural styles, and recognise what each genre actually demands from a performance.
COMPLEX SCENE & CONTINUITY
Work longer scenes and multiple setups, wide, medium, and close, while keeping performance and continuity consistent across takes.
DIRECTION UNDER PRESSURE
Take fast adjustments and play against different directing styles without losing what's grounded and true in the work.
ADVANCED SELF-TAPE & AUDITION CRAFT
Harder self-tape and audition material, including cold reads, so your process holds up under real casting scrutiny.
SCENE LIBRARY
Choose your own scene each week from our extensive scene library, giving you greater scene choice throughout the course.
